confirm against the actual Max patch before acceptance.
2.
Do NOT apply 5 V to any GPIO; inputs are referenced
only to the board's 3.3 V and GND rails.
3.
GPIO0 / 3 / 45 / 46 are avoided — ESP32-S3
boot-strapping pins.
4.
ENC1: NEBDS A/B or KY-040 CLK/DT to GPIO7/8 via R6/R7.
Power from 3V3. SW is NC. KY-040 needs stronger filtering.
5.
Command transmitter only — OSC / UDP over 2.4 GHz
Wi-Fi → ASUS router → wired Max / MSP. Carries no
audio, video, DDP pixel data, or LED power.
6.
Power: regulated USB 5 V / 2 A; keep independent
from 12 V LED supplies. Ground symbol = local return
to the common GND bus.
7.
R6–R10 (100 Ω) sit in-line between each GPIO node and
its panel run — ESD / short protection + edge damping.
8.
LED1 (GPIO12 → R11 330 Ω → LED1 → GND): solid =
Wi-Fi connected · blinking = reconnecting · off = no power.
9.
Verify EC11 frame/shaft-to-GND continuity after mounting.
Use a quality USB-C cable ≤ 1 m (Wi-Fi TX brownout guard).
